Venus retrograde is the six-week stretch, roughly every 18 months, when the planet of love, money, beauty and values appears to move backward and your relationships and finances go under review. The current one runs from October 3 to November 13, 2026, backing up from Scorpio into Libra, and the next begins May 10, 2028 in Gemini.
What Venus retrograde means
Venus retrogrades less often than any other planet: about six weeks out of every eighteen months. From Earth, it appears to slow, stop and back up as it passes between us and the Sun. Astrologers read that backtrack as a review of everything Venus rules: love, attraction, partnership, money, pleasure, beauty and what you value.

Venus is not the only planet reversing. Mercury retrograde runs October 24 to November 13, 2026 in Scorpio, and both planets station direct on November 13, a double reset for relationships and the words around them.
