Since we began the week with Venus coming off of the opposition to Jupiter and all the longing that can cause, some of you might like to simply cuss and flip over the table and start a new game — romantically speaking. Of course we can’t exactly flip the zodiac over, but at least certain planetary energies this week will give us a chance to reboot things one way or another.
There may not be a whole lot of major aspects exact this week, but there is still plenty of planetary activity that could affect your life in general and your love life specifically.
On Tuesday, Mercury enters Leo. Although Mercury is generally associated with things like book-keeping and communication, Mercury in Leo is actually potentially good news for your romantic life. That’s because Venus is in Virgo right now. Venus in Virgo is sweet but has a reputation for being a bit of a wallflower. Mercury is the planet that rules Virgo, so Mercury entering Leo might give our dear girl a chance to come out of her shell a little. Having said that: Mercury is still “communications,” and that can include playing your music too loudly at 3 AM. Please consider the neighbors.
Jupiter is still retrograde, and on Wednesday it re-enters the sign of Aquarius. This might be an excellent time to expose yourself to new and interesting ideas. However, with Jupiter apparently moving backwards, don’t invest too much of your spare time and money in those new ideas unless you’re sure they are a winner. Jupiter loves spending (literally or figuratively), and Aquarius likes new and shiny things that you may not be able to afford.
I often refer to Jupiter as “an amplifier.” Any planet it aspects tends to get louder and bolder. That’s certainly the case with Mars opposite Jupiter exact on Thursday. Just as Venus’ opposition to Jupiter last week might have made you feel like your deep longings were not being fulfilled, Mars opposite Jupiter might give you the urge to show off, get sexy with it, or just blow off some steam. Pace yourself though: this aspect covers the entire week and part of next week.
Later on Thursday, Mars enters Virgo. Mars in Leo had a reputation for being too much of a show-off, or more interested in the performance than the results. Mars in Virgo has pretty much the opposite effect of that. Mars in Virgo values technical expertise and efficient performance. I’m going to leave it up to you and your imagination as to what exactly that means when it comes to your sex life.
