Astrology isn’t fatalistic. The planets may dictate the circumstances you are presented with, but it is always your choice how to react to those energies. So, even when it seems that the world is out of control, you are still in control of yourself. And thus it seems to me entirely appropriate that the last full calendar week of 2020 presents us with two transits that we can choose to do with as we see fit. After all, hasn’t this year been basically one big choice foisted on you against your will, after another?
On Monday, Jupiter conjunct Saturn is exact in the first degree of Aquarius. You’ve almost certainly seen something or other already about how this is the Great Conjunction. Heck, even people who aren’t into astrology are making a big deal out of it. And don’t get me wrong. It’s certainly is a big deal. The problem is that it’s so big and covers so much time and space and so many things that are yet to come that it’s almost pointless to talk about it within the context of a weekly horoscope.
Nonetheless, I’m going to propose we actually do just that. And what’s more, I will be doing this in a relatively unusual manner. I’m not going to be talking about the effects this conjunction will have on society at large, or the dating scene, or anything in between. I would simply like to ask all of you to take a moment and (literally or figuratively), if possible, take the time out to look up at the sky and observe the remarkable thing happening up there that hasn’t been this bright and significant since the 1600s.
And then simply… accept it as a sign. Take it as a sign that the world does make sense somehow, allow yourself to be swept up in the awe and wonder. Breathe and relax, and know that somehow the world can and will be a better place. listen to the quiet inner voice that is trying to tell you that everything is going to work out for the better, in the long run, even though it seems right now we’re all living in some sort of screwed up dumpster fire.
Or if that’s not your thing, you could always focus on the week’s other big aspect. That would be Mars square Pluto, which is exact on Wednesday but fills the entire week with plenty of opportunities to be frustrated and angry and go waving around that double doctorate in constitutional law and immunology you earned in the last 6 months on YouTube. If you like fruitless anger, this could be your big week!
Like I said: it’s always your choice how to react to those energies. Choose your own adventure.
