Let’s start this forecast with two pieces of good news: This week isn’t as bad as two weeks ago was, and it’s significantly better than last week. Yes, Mars opposite Pluto is still (weakly) in effect the first few days of the week. That will increase the odds of some explosions. But for the most part, last week’s powder keg is largely defused.
Venus may not be entirely on her best behavior this week, but at least she’ll be having plenty of fun. Venus opposite Jupiter is still in effect for the first part of the week, and that can make for some enthusiastic romantic entanglements and good dates. The opposition isn’t exactly the smoothest and most stable of aspects, though. And honestly, have you ever seen a Gemini (like our current Venus) and a Sagittarius (like Jupiter) partying together? Things can get out of hand really quickly.
Adding to the enthusiasm (and the possible sense that your romantic goals are weird and impractical) is Venus square Neptune, which is exact on Monday. Take the boisterous energy of the Venus-Jupiter opposition and throw in a liberal dose of confusion and impracticality, and… well, remember what I said about when Gemini and Sagittarius are partying? Imagine that Neptune in Pisces showed up with booze around 11 AM, and they’ve been at it all day long. The thing is that if your love life needed a bit of wild abandon, this is your week to cut loose and have fun with it.
Mercury enters Leo on Wednesday. Leo isn’t the best of all the signs to hang out in, but it will probably make for less moody words and thoughts than Mercury in Cancer came with. And, in my experience? Mercury in Leo loves to hand out helpful and interesting little factoids. Like, this one: Mercury is now in its Shadow Period before the retrograde in August. So, get all your Mercury-related projects rolling now.
On Thursday, Sun sextile Uranus is exact. This is a generally restless energy, but in a happy and outgoing kind of way. It’s a great time for creative endeavors and finding a new approach to your relationships. This aspect can be particularly useful if you or your love life have fallen into the trap of routine, or if your pursuit of love has left you in a rut.
Finally, on the subject of “shaking things up”? Next week brings us the first of two Eclipses. That sounds like it could make for some changes, doesn’t it…?
