There are two very distinct elephants in the room that need to be addressed before we get on with the regular forecast. Two of the year’s biggest aspects are coming to a peak. Jupiter square Neptune hits the exact degree on Sunday, and Saturn sextile Neptune follows closely behind. Jupiter square Neptune has brought us a lot of unhinged dogma and flat-out delusion over the course of this year. You’ve noticed how True Believers of whatever type have been more dedicated to their nutty worldview the last few months? That’s Jupiter square Neptune.
Meanwhile Saturn sextile Neptune is approaching the exact degree this week. Sextiles don’t shout their presence, but they can be incredibly useful. This particular aspect gives us the opportunity to “make dreams become real,” aligning our practical goals with our sense of Spirit.
Big transits like that don’t work alone. They need a smaller and faster transit to set them off, and that’s where Mars in Cancer comes in.
This week, Mars moves through 15 to 19 degrees Cancer. Mars transits are energizing, sometimes impulsive, and they often work their way out as either personal drama or sex… sometimes both. Mars will be making major aspects to Saturn, the Nodes, and Neptune this week. Although all of these aspects will tend to blend together, I’m going to break them down in the order they occur.
Mars conjunct the North Node can embolden your actions, especially with people or situations that you feel you have a karmic connection with. This can be a time when you feel compelled to find a relationship — to the point where there’s a chance you might dive headfirst into a situation you might otherwise avoid… possibly a situation you’d normally know better than to dive into.
Mars trine Neptune can lend a strong sense of idealism to both your love life and life in general. Use a little caution though: even a positive aspect from Neptune can cause some confusion. Make sure you’re signing up for the right crusade before you put on your armor and ride into battle.
Mars opposite Saturn is a time when everything can seem to have more of an edge. On the one hand, energy levels can be erratic and hard to draw upon when needed. On the other hand, that won’t stop a lot of people from acting like maniacs. Try to avoid conflict as much as possible this week.
Sounds hectic, doesn’t it? You’ll probably feel like you need a break. If you get one though, it won’t be next week, when Mars makes the exact opposition to Pluto. Sorry about that…
