It’s time to get down to business with your love life!
One of the big indicators at any given time as to how love and romance will turn out is the sign placement of Venus. At the beginning of the week, Venus moves from Sagittarius into Capricorn, and that’s pretty much astrological shorthand for “but seriously…” when it comes to your relationships. I’m normally a big fan of the sincerity and depth of Venus in Capricorn, but this month she’s going to have a bit of a rough ride there. If your love life runs smoothly this week, enjoy it while it lasts. The upcoming conjunctions of Venus to first Saturn and then Pluto are bound to make things rockier for you.
If you find yourself in a situation in your personal life that you either need to talk yourself out of or would like to talk yourself into, help is on the way. Mercury sextile Jupiter is excellent for creative self-expression. By the time that influence fades on Saturday, Mercury sextile Uranus will kick in. If that love letter of yours didn’t quite hit the mark, perhaps the added zing of an aspect to Uranus will give you the selling power you need.
If it seems that no matter what, if you just can’t find the right words to express what you’re feeling, then keep in mind that at the end of the week Mercury enters Pisces. Mercury in Pisces may not always be able to find the right words or remember where it left its keys, but it brings a soulful quality to your thoughts and words that may be just what you need.
Regardless of where you find yourself, in terms of your love life or otherwise, there is always a chance for new beginnings. Both symbolically and practically, in astrology that means the New Moon. This New Moon is conjunct Mercury and is sextile Jupiter in Sagittarius. It’s also a particularly powerful one because this, like last month’s Full Moon/Eclipse, is what’s called a “supermoon”. Unlike a Full Moon, a New Moon isn’t visible. But that does not at all mean that it doesn’t have an influence. Take advantage of this rare combination by setting out your intentions to clear up your thinking and make your goal-setting more discerning.
Finally: remember how I started out this forecast with saying something about getting down to business? The reason I said that is that next week brings us Valentine’s Day. Despite its reputation, Valentine’s Day is often a time when people’s love lives go off the rails, and astrologically? Tbere’s more than a few signs of that next week. Stay tuned…
