After so many weeks of hectic astrological activity (THREE Eclipses!) it’s nice to catch a break. Relatively speaking, that’s what this week will be for most of us. You may not achieve anything great this week, but if you don’t push too hard, there is progress to be made.
As far as romantic opportunities go, Venus in Libra is in pretty good shape this week after having a painful square to Saturn last week. In fact, if things have been rough with any of your relationships in the last while, this could be an excellent week to patch things up. Mercury sextile Venus is in effect for most of this week, and that will give all of us an opportunity to communicate with particular care, sensitivity, and creativity.
Just because there is nothing too obviously challenging happening in the sky this week doesn’t necessarily make it a great time for getting things done, though. Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are all still retrograde. That doesn’t necessarily mean that things will go wrong, but you might have a harder time than usual under these circumstances making things go right. Don’t let that stop you from trying though. Mars being retrograde might make your workload less responsive to your efforts, but at least Mars is retrograde in Capricorn, which is an excellent place for it. And you’ve got to admit: Capricorn knows how to trudge through difficult circumstances.
Also: this means that Mars is oh-so-slowly pulling away from the square to Uranus in Taurus, which has made so many tempers (and a few sex drives) go off the rails lately. But hey, don’t worry: Mars square Uranus will be back in full effect next month. Mars square Uranus is a lot of fun if, at heart, you’re sort of a maniac… the rest of us will just go back into hiding when that aspect gets closer to the square again.
Sunday may be an excellent time for communications in general, whether or not we’re talking about love letters, because that’s when Mercury retrograde ends. Remember that a planet that is ending its retrograde appears to be standing still in its orbit, and in many ways this is the time when a planet is most powerful.
Enjoy the island of calm while it lasts. Jupiter trine Neptune is also exact on Sunday, and that aspect will tend to make the entire week relatively pleasant… especially when compared to some of the nuttiness that’s been going on in the last month or so. Relax and soak it up.
