Love Horoscope for the Week of May 28

When you’re writing a love horoscope like I do, it’s always a relief to be able to look ahead at the week. I’m going to write about genuinely good news related to Venus, especially as Venus is in such a sensitive place as Cancer. Venus in Cancer can be a little reactive and a little too moody for her own good at times — it comes with a natural sense of caring and concern for the well-being of others.

Venus is coming off of a relatively difficult week, with both Venus quincunx Mars confusing people’s sex drives, and Venus opposite Saturn putting a chill on romance in general. Although during the early part of the week Venus is still suffering a hangover from those aspects, things start looking up quickly.

The romantic outlook this week is influenced by two major aspects, and although one of them is exact on Friday and the other is exact on Saturday, they both influence the entire week.

Venus trine Jupiter is arguably the single best aspect that can happen when it comes to your love life. Good times and good love work hand-in-hand, and even if you aren’t pursuing romance right now, you will find you probably have more opportunities than usual for it, or at least you will enjoy the company of friends and family more.

Sure, it’s great to have fun, but if you were a true romantic, you are pursuing something deeper than just that. That’s where Venus trine Neptune comes in. If you like your human connections to have a touch of the transcendent to them, everything seems to be in your favor this week. In fact, my Inner Cynic demanded that I find some bad news for you and the worst I’ve got is this: there’s a Void of Course Moon that kicks in late in the evening on Friday (Eastern Time) that lasts until the early evening Saturday — so if you’re planning that first date with Prince or Princess Charming, make sure you get it started relatively early in the evening.

All of this week’s transits happen within the larger context of Jupiter trine Neptune, which has been in effect all month and carries on for some time yet. So if this week isn’t the week when you achieve all your relationship goals, do what Jupiter and Neptune always do: keep the faith.
