The biggest astrological event of the year happens on Tuesday, when Uranus enters Taurus. It’s a bit ironic that big news like that won’t take up too much space within the context of a weekly romance forecast. That would be a bit like someone looking for advice on how to repair their toilet and getting a lecture on the entire history of indoor plumbing. Suffice to say though that if you have Scorpio or Capricorn rising, the next few months will see the beginning of an exciting New Era in your love life, and if you have Leo rising, get ready for your career to become a thrill ride.
Wait a minute! Uranus is the rebel of the solar system… so in that spirit, I’m going to make this weekly forecast as much about Uranus as possible. Sure, Mercury trine Saturn is exact on Friday, and that should make your communications clear and precise. But, big deal, am I right? “Clear and precise” aren’t terribly romantic sounding, are they? Good thing Uranus will be livening up your human relations this week, otherwise things would be pretty mundane.
The biggest and most significant astrological aspect this week is Mars square Uranus, which has an influence on the entire week. While everyone was distracted by The Uranus Show, Mars slipped quietly into Aquarius. Normally this would be worthy of the focus of an entire week’s romance forecast, as Mars rules the sex drive, and Mars in Aquarius can make for some very exciting times that way. It’s just as goal-oriented as Mars in Capricorn but is less afraid to mix things up and keep it lively.
What’s really turning up the sexual energy to 11 this week is the fact that Mars is square Uranus. Remember that Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius, and that sign already has a reputation for keeping things freaky. On the one hand, this can be a great time to shake up your sexual routine. On the other hand, many will find that their drives and desires are getting out of hand or getting frustrated. Just do your best to roll with the punches and try not to overstep your boundaries with anyone. This of course also includes arguing with others.
So with all the hormonal hub-bub going on, the true romantics among you may be asking, “Where is the love?” Or, in astrological terms, “What’s Venus up to?” And yes, even the Goddess of Love is getting in on the Uranus bandwagon this week. Venus enters Cancer on Saturday, soothing those jangled nerves and offering a classic, girl-next-door kind of love. Hey… you remember that girl next door? Yeah, it turns out she went off to college and hooked up with Uranus, and the last anyone heard of her she was living with three guys in a commune in Borneo. That’s the sort of effect that Venus sextile Uranus can have. What a great setup for a weekend!
