Love Horoscope for the Week of April 23

Mars, Saturn, and Pluto are all big players this week. There’s no reason to panic, though: for many of you, this could be an excellent week for both romance and for making important breakthroughs in your life.

Mars sextile Jupiter on Tuesday influences the entire week. This is a great time to be energetic, do some spring cleaning, and maybe have a little more sex than usual. Often a Mars transit can be a little uncomfortable… like drinking too many espressos… but this one is relatively pleasant.

Be careful not to use this week’s Mars energy to start talking back to the boss or griping at those who do not deserve it. Mercury square Saturn on Wednesday can make you a little more prone than usual to badly-phrased or ill-timed statements or email.

Pluto has just recently turned retrograde, and is thus particularly strong right now. That’s what makes Thursday’s Mars conjunct Pluto scarier than usual. Don’t panic though, because this energy can be used to constructively breakdown some long-standing obstacles. Pay particular attention to any area of your life that has been stressed for the last year or two: This week, Mars amplifies the effects of the Pluto transit that has likely been the cause of your issues. There is also an eclipse coming up in July and that is directly opposite this point, and the big Saturn-Pluto conjunction of late 2019/early 2020 is also happening at almost exactly the same spot. For many people, this will be an incredibly useful time, and for others it will be time to tear their hair out. If you’ve been in the latter category for the last year or two because of Pluto, prepare to batten down the hatches and brace yourself.

Either your sex drive or that of someone potentially close to you is likely to be turned up to 11 this weekend, because that’s when there is a Full Moon in Scorpio. Mars is the traditional ruler of Scorpio, and Pluto is the traditional ruler of Scorpio. When the two of them get together under a full moon like this, the results could be spectacular. Whether that’s spectacularly sexy or spectacularly grouchy is up to you. Make the best of it. If nothing else, a Full Moon in Scorpio is a great time to kick back at home and watch a horror movie or two, in the event you are afraid of going out and turning your personal life into a horror movie. One potential saving grace is that on Sunday, Sun trine Saturn will be exact, minimizing the kind of potential ego damage that often leads to fights… so maybe it won’t be so scary after all.
