Sometimes you just want to know if Mr. or Ms. Hot is hot for you. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was no guessing involved? With the Mars in Aries man or woman, you won’t need to guess: he or she will let you know immediately. Aries is a Cardinal Fire sign, which means he initiates (Cardinal) with enthusiasm and the optimistic (Fire) drive to win. The risk that he may not win is what pushes him to make an attempt in the first place. When natal Mars (the planet of action and sexual energy) is in Aries, a man or woman who is attracted to the same sex, opposite sex or both will not hesitate to signal his or her interest.

The Primal Display

Mars in Aries is the sign of the warrior, so she’ll do something that involves a challenge or chase. She’s an instinctive fighter; you’re not worth having unless there’s some tension whipped up. Watch for obvious displays where she approaches you, buys you a drink, or competes with someone else for your attention. She will make the first move. She likes to assert her will, so she may be pushy or rude, although she probably won’t realize it if she offends you. If she does realize it, she won’t care, because this is her version of foreplay. Her flirting can feel confrontational, like a child who signals their interest by teasing you.

    Does any of this apply to someone with Mars in the 1st house, too? What about a guy with Mars in Libra in the 1st house, for example?

    I have mars in the 1st. in Aqua. Yes, that’s how we are. This is a very good description. Mine is trine saturn, so no cheating here. If i want a man, he will know it. I am aggressive in pursuit. He better have plenty of roar.

    @scorpio
    Maybe, in the sense that Mars in the 1st House would be more upfront (see Fushion’s comment). But it’s still Mars in Libra, which acts very differently and has different motivations from Mars in Aries. You have to take the sign into account. House position is where Mars’ energy is displayed, and sign is how.

    Would you say natal Mars in Leo conjunct the ascendant is akin to having Mars in Aries?
