Cutting Back

Due to unfavorable economic circumstances, Sasstrology has to cut some corners. (This decision just happens to coincide with Saturn’s ingress into Scorpio, which is a tight-fisted transit if I ever saw one.) Unfortunately, the most production- and cost-intensive feature of Sasstrology is the weekly sex & relationships post, so it’s got to go. Of course, this is the backbone of the site—we have over 500 posts in our archives for this section alone—so I do not make this decision lightly.

We will continue to offer our weekly forecast and podcast, as well as Nadia Gilchrist’s Sun-Moon Compatibility series and monthly horoscopes from Planet Waves. Oh, and don’t forget daily horoscopes for all zodiac signs by Kelli Fox, The Astrologer.

You will be able to read more sex & relationship astrology posts by Nadia Gilchrist through the end of the month. I want to thank our sex & relationship editor Erika Malzberg for her efforts and expertise—she has been able to bring out the best in all our authors, as well as make my work as publisher more manageable.

I do not know what the future holds for Sasstrology. I would like to be able to promise that I can bring back the sex & relationships feature at some future time, but it really depends on the financial health of the blog as well as my own personal circumstances.

If you are subscribed to the weekly newsletter, the last mail date will be on October 22. There are of course other ways to stay on top of our recent posts, such as Twitter, Facebook, and our RSS feed. (Just click on the icons in the navigation area.)

this is soooo true, economic-wise all over the world, and just everywhere we look.

It’s extremely so tight-fisted, everyone’s paying more taxes (just in overall living tax) to hold up the economy and there are so many cuts in the government too.
Nothing is free, except for the coffee at work/school, or whereever you can get it. And even then, it’s just tight-fisted all around with some places charging 25c for hot water to make your tea.
it’s really due to the past – poor choices and stuff, but hey, at least, the best things in life are free, right?

  3. Thank you, Jeff. And, best wishes.

  4. You’re welcome.

  5. Thanks Jeffrey for the great work that is I’ve only found your site recently, but greatly admire and appreciate the synergy you’ve built amongst all concerned with it. and the great content you’ve put into it..

I’m sorry about the downsizing. Perhaps you could keep the present archives available for reference in some form that needs no ongoing work and incurs no or minimal costs from your end? They are a wonderful resource and it would be a pity to see them lost to the world. I personally refer to them much more than to the daily and weekly horoscopes.

Anyway, again thanks, and best wishes as you work with Saturn in this Scorpionic time.

  6. Mel, the archives will still be available. I may feature archived posts on the home page to bring to the attention of new visitors.

  7. Thank Jeffrey.. Great news.
