Simplifying, and Speeding Up

As part of my Mars retrograde process, I am letting go of anything that weighs me down or prevents me from moving forward in the areas of life that are important to me. I have already discontinued the forum. Recently, I have been decluttering and speeding up the load time of web pages.

I may be going overboard, but so far I have removed:

  • The sharing & messaging bar at the bottom of the page
  • The social media widgets to the left of blog posts
  • The fancy podcast “play” button

I am hoping that the increased speed is noticeable, and that if you really want to share a post you’ll just copy the link and paste into Facebook or Twitter. Please comment below if you miss anything I’ve removed or if there are features you think are worth adding.

Totally get why you’re streamlining the site and right on, man…. I must say, though, that the ‘fancy’ streaming podcast play button was awesome– so convenient while running around doing laundry every Sunday and listening to your podcast! But I guess I can just download the stitcher app you used to plug all the time… Mad love to Sasstrology!!

  2. There’s still a “play” button on the podcast blog posts.
