Love Horoscope for the Week of October 30

The week begins in the shadow of two transits that were exact last week. Venus square Pluto might find you and those around you a little too unwilling to wait for the good stuff than you ought to — sure, you have needs, but don’t bulldoze anyone trying to get to the front of the line at the bakery. However, if you lose control, at least Mercury sextile Pluto will help you convey a solid and convincing apology as you shove that last competitor out of the way to grab those cream puffs.

The week (and in fact the first half of this month) is dominated by a significant major aspect. Saturn square Chiron is, let’s be honest, not a whole lot of fun… unless of course you’re some sort of ultra Scorpionic type who enjoys the idea of practical obstacles coming up that rub your face in your unhealed emotional wounds. You have to love yourself before you love someone else is a cliche, but there’s some truth to it. This week may cause you to examine your own deeper motivations a little more carefully, and may ultimately lead to the kind of help you didn’t even necessarily knew that you needed.

That’s not to say that the entire week is going to be a total bummer when it comes to love and romance. In fact, there are a couple of things happening in the Zodiac this weekend that will significantly increase your chances of getting what you want romantically. Saturday’s Full Moon in Taurus might be emotionally edgy for a lot of people, but when Moon in Taurus and Sun in Scorpio combine their forces, there’s often something very sexy that comes from it. Don’t be afraid to get out and kick up your heels a little.

Venus opposite Uranus is also exact on Saturday. If your love life is in a rut, then Uranus in Aries might be willing to lend you a brilliant and unorthodox idea or two as to how you can fix that. Venus in Libra may be loving and creative, but even that placement can benefit from the occasional touch of eccentricity. Also helping you to get your point across is Mercury entering Sagittarius, which happens on Sunday. Although Sagittarius has a reputation for being scholarly and knowledgeable, Mercury in Sagittarius isn’t exactly known for its attention to fine detail or subtlety. Then again, when has attention to fine detail or subtlety ever gotten you a hot date? The big lesson from Mercury and Sagittarius is that sometimes, even when you’ve carefully done all your homework, all you’ve got to do is just let ‘er rip… but be prepared to clean up the mess afterwards if you don’t hit your target.
