Love Horoscope for the Week of October 23

On Monday, the Sun enters Scorpio. Make sure to buy some vaguely Goth-y birthday presents, and remember: Scorpio isn’t nearly as dangerous or as vengeful as you’ve heard, except of course when people remind them about that cliche, which is actually pretty often. Come to think of it, just be careful, okay?

Monday also sees a peculiar aspect that might make your love life run a little oddly. Although Venus is currently in Libra and that is a good strong placement for love and romance and courtship and such things, Venus quincunx Neptune might tend to make your love drive a little off-kilter, or a little weird, or it just might make you consider some things that you wouldn’t normally. That sort of thing can be fun of course, but it’s not very stable ground to start a new relationship on.

On Tuesday, Mercury trine Neptune makes the middle of the week a good time to communicate your needs in a creative manner. It’s also a good time for mental and spiritual pursuits like meditation, as well as to find the right words to smooth things over with a friend or a loved one, if there have been feathers ruffled of late.

The weekend dating scene is influenced by two major aspects. One of these aspects should make for bouncy good times and a general sense of well-being. The other one might find you craving something that you can’t or shouldn’t have, or you might end up applying too much force to get the emotional responses you need out of someone.

Sun conjunct Jupiter on Thursday carries on throughout the rest of the week. This is a great time for partying, socializing, and generally getting out there and having a good time. If you are looking for love, that’s often how it starts.

That Jupiter aspect can make people a little too enthusiastic about things for their own good, and that’s where we need to keep the other major aspect for this weekend in mind. Venus square Pluto–which is exact on Friday–sets the scene for a lot of hungry and demanding appetites, including the emotional kind. Yes, that is the sort of thing that can lead to a new relationship or the intensification of a new one, but keep in mind that hungry and wise decision-making rarely travel hand-in-hand together. Then again, if you were looking to get crazy with a stranger and aren’t expecting too much more to come of it in future, this could be exactly your kind of weekend!
