After a few weeks of cosmic punches in the face, the Solar System has decided to cut us all some slack with a relatively pleasant and constructive week. Aren’t you glad you didn’t give up on life? Astrologically speaking, there are no home runs being hit this week, but at least for once you won’t be taking so many hits from the sky.
Normally, Monday is the day when many of us have to re-adjust ourselves to the realities of getting work done. That might be a little more difficult this Monday, as a Full Moon in Libra is in effect (the exact Full Moon is late Monday/early Tuesday, depending on your time zone). Even though technically it’s over within a few hours, a Full Moon has a powerful enough effect that it could easily cloud your judgement or frazzle your nerves on both Monday and Tuesday. Throw in the fact that this month’s Full Moon is in “the relationship sign,” and you might find yourself dealing with an agitated loved one (or agitation over the state of your love life) when all you wanted to do was get the first day back at work over with.
Throughout the week, the biggest new influence is Sun conjunct Uranus. On the one hand, this could unleash your inner genius, making it easier to find creative solutions and new approaches to the things that have been standing in your way. On the other hand, there’s a chance that the various egos you have to deal with might be a little more “high on their own supply” than usual.
Mercury Retrograde is in effect now until May 3rd. Make sure you’re extra careful with your proofreading, think twice before you make any agreements, and so on. For bonus points: watch your temper. Mars is still in Taurus, and a poor choice of words or the frustration of a breakdown that can come with Mercury Retro is a little more likely than usual to flare up into a Major Incident.
The weekend gives us all an opportunity to blow of some steam… and get sexy with it, if that’s your thing. Fortunately for real or potential lovers everywhere, Venus sextile Mars is exact on Sunday but rules over the entire weekend. Adding to the potential excitement of a new romance (or having a little more life pumped into your existing relationship) is Sun trine Saturn, which isn’t exact until next Monday, but still improves the odds of anything new and good in your life being able to take a more solid and permanent form.
And hey: if with all your best efforts nothing happens in your love life, Mars sextile Chiron (also exact on Sunday) may help you find the energy to heal that wound. But, let’s hope your weekend is more fun than that, shall we?
