On Monday, Neptune turns retrograde. This is certainly significant for those of you with important placements close to 7° of either the Mutable or Water Signs, but making a general statement about the nature of Neptune retrograde is always tricky. Frankly, sometimes I wonder if retrogrades matter at all when it comes to Neptune. It’s a bit like the difference between a neighbor who keeps you up all night singing because he’s drunk on scotch, and a neighbor who keeps you up all night with his loved singing because he’s drunk on Bourbon. Either way: the song remains the same. And since Mercury is already retrograde, if you get any sudden bright ideas about how to change your life or fix your relationships this week, you should probably consult a breathalyzer first.
On Tuesday the Moon in Scorpio is conjunct Saturn, and once again it’s not just a conjunction but an occultation. That fleeting sense of despair that a Moon-Saturn conjunction can cause might be a little deeper and darker than usual. Keep passing the open windows, okay?
The general mood should prove to be particularly unbridled on Wednesday and Thursday. The Moon is essentially unaspected in Sagittarius on Wednesday, and if there is a single astrological factor that says “idle hands are the devil’s playthings,” it’s going to be an unaspected Moon in Sagittarius. Don’t do anything crazy to liven things up, because late Thursday/early Friday brings the Full Moon in Sagittarius.
This month’s Full Moon is accompanied by Venus opposite Saturn. That can make for dissatisfaction around both your love life and finances. Feeling dissatisfaction with a situation is the first step towards changing it, and that can be incredibly positive. On the other hand, a Full Moon tends to bring a touch of The Crazy with it. So yes: you probably should do something about that mole hill in your front yard but no, a stick of dynamite is probably not the best solution.
Saturday could provide ideal circumstances for making changes in your love life, and not just because it’s the weekend. The Moon passes through the degrees of the Cardinal Grand Cross, interacting with a lot of the major forces that have been messing with your head and your heart for the last couple of years. But, caution… the Mars-Pluto square is also exact on Saturday. So once again: please, no dynamite.
If you played it safe on Saturday, don’t expect things to magically improve on Sunday. Moon in Aquarius is generally a good time for improving your human relations, but it makes no aspects all day long. Whatever hand your love life dealt you during the week… don’t expect the Universe to magically slip you that extra ace you need.
