Well now, look at that. The exact peak of the Cardinal Grand Cross has come and gone, and sure enough, you’re all more or less still here in (more or less) one piece. See? Didn’t I tell you you didn’t need to worry so much about things? It’s all clear now. You can come out of hiding.
Oh, wait… Solar Eclipse!
Monday/early Tuesday sees a Solar Eclipse at 9 degrees Taurus. One thing to keep in mind is that a Solar Eclipse is basically just a New Moon … even if it happens to be a New Moon on steroids. It represents the beginning of a new cycle and is an excellent time to set your intentions for the month ahead. This particular New Moon/Solar eclipse is conjunct Mercury and sextile Neptune, so this cycle will be a good one for both carefully planning out what you want for yourself and also for dreaming a little dream of how things could be better. An eclipse can also bring dramatic and unexpected circumstances, so if you have any important placements in your chart closely aspecting 9 degrees Taurus, you may find that fate will lend a hand with breaking any impasses you may have faced lately.
Once you’ve laid out your plan, you might be able to follow it with a little more clarity and precision than usual: Mercury makes a couple of useful aspects this week. A sextile to Jupiter on Wednesday makes for big thinking, and the opposition to Saturn on Friday may not sound like fun, but it does wonders for crystallizing otherwise vague and imprecise notions you may have had.
On Friday evening, Venus enter Aries. This time around, Venus is a “fast” girl — both in the sense that it is moving quickly, and also in the way that my Mom used the word when she was warning me about who not to date. Venus in Aries is not the fair maiden quietly laying back and waiting for Prince Charming to rescue her; she’s the girl in the little black dress who’s looking to get some attention. Adopt a bit of her attitude this weekend in your romantic relationships, and chances are good you’ll get some results.
Being a little more bold with your love life this weekend will be good practice for next weekend, when Venus joins the degrees of the Cardinal Grand Cross. When that happens, Venus will go from being a “fast girl” to being “a fast girl in bad company.” And if you’re thinking, “Hey, that sounds like it could potentially be a whole lot of fun,” you’d be exactly right. Just don’t tell your Mom… or mine.
