In a month featuring both a Cardinal Grand Cross and two eclipses, perhaps the wisest thing an astrologer can tell you is to remain calm and don’t panic. Sure, a lot of long-standing tensions are coming to a head this month, but it’s not like everything is going to blow up for everyone all at once… astrology and our own personal histories don’t work like that. Having said that: It’s certainly an important month for many of us, and a lot of the trials and tribulations that have been bubbling away in the background for the last couple of years we will be in sharp focus.
The highlight of the week in the sky is the Lunar Eclipse happening early Tuesday morning, which will be visible in most of North and South America. Eclipses hold a special place in the hearts of astrologers, as they can often portend great change. However, unless you have important points in your chart closely aspecting 25 degrees Aries or Libra, you may just want to treat it as a particularly amplified full moon, which is essentially what a Lunar Eclipse is. Watch your mood, be mindful of your relationships, and if you can, get outside and take a look up at the Moon. A Lunar Eclipse is pretty darned impressive to look at.
Also, keep in mind that an eclipse may be a one-time event, but its influence spreads out from that day… keep an eye on where 25 degrees Aries or Libra are in your own birth chart, and see what happens when transiting planets aspect that point in the near future. It’s frustrating when an astrologer (whose job it is to predict the future) says “expect the unexpected”… but that’s how eclipses work.
Throughout the middle of the week, Mercury is opposite Mars. This can make both your thoughts and words a little more sharp and pointy then usual, so try a little diplomacy. Things soften a little later in the week when the Venus trine Jupiter makes the mood a little softer and lazier. And let’s not worry too much about Venus sextile Pluto on Friday: Sextiles are, after all, not the kind of aspect that go around slapping people in the face… but they’re nice to have along for the ride on Date Night.
Speaking of “slapping people in the face,” the weekend sees the Jupiter-Pluto opposition reach the exact degree. Moods will be rambunctious, and people will be a little more demanding about getting their appetites fulfilled. If you’ve been a wallflower in your own love life for too long, perhaps this is the boost that you have needed.
