Whenever the Sun moves into a new Sign, there’s always a subtle shift in where we put our Ego energies. This week, Sun in Aquarius makes for a change from the determined realism of Capricorn to the what-ifs of the Water Bearer. For those of you who need a break from the grind of life in the material world, this should be a small blessing, but for those of you looking for a little certainty? Well, you just may have to manufacture that for yourself.
Venus is still retrograde in Capricorn, and is ruled by Saturn (which is still in Scorpio). This can make for great depths of feeling and a longing for the better days of the past… even when those days didn’t really exist. Combine that with Sun in Aquarius and you can find yourself in a situation where, emotionally, nothing on your plate seems quite satisfying, and nothing on the menu looks that thrilling, and yet you’re hungry anyway. Just to complicate things, Venus is heading towards the opposition with Jupiter, and is still square Mars in Libra: the hunger for something that isn’t quite there is only likely to increase.
Fortunately, as with most of life’s little dilemmas, there’s a way around this mess. Use your head! Mercury in Aquarius has some bright ideas, and is good for that whole “thinking outside of the box” thing that those people who write all those highly-similar and predictable Business Management books keep talking about. By the end of the week, it reaches the trine with Mars, so you should be able to apply a little perspiration to your inspiration, and make your relationships run a little smarter… or you’ll be able to better extract yourself from an unwinnable situation, whichever is required in your case.
Friday will be your best bet this week to make changes in your love life. Mercury trine Mars is exact, and the Moon makes pleasant aspects to both Venus and Jupiter, so whatever work needs doing can be done with a relatively light and pleasant touch.
Normally Saturday is a cheerful day, unencumbered by work and cares… usually. This Saturday is more serious than usual, with Mercury square Saturn making for some heavy thoughts, and Moon in Scorpio conjunct Saturn. The Moon is actually occulting Saturn, completely passing over the ringed planet from our perspective here on Earth. Think of it as a “superduperconjunction”: perhaps not the most light-hearted of times, but well-suited to solidifying your long term plans and ambitions. Just to top it all off, the Moon is Void of Course all day until late evening, so go ahead and make those serious plans… but don’t take any new action on them until Sunday.
