The Uranus-Pluto square that has made so much of your life (and the world in general) kind of a mess is a bit like a mountain river slowly rising after the spring melt: it’s so big and slow and amorphous that it’s easy to ignore the fact that your village is eventually going to be flooded out. That is, until the morning you wake up and your hut has suddenly become a raft… or an aquarium. What usually calls attention to this square is when a third planet becomes involved, and this week it’s sweet lil’ ol’ Venus that walks into this particular gunfight armed only with a pocketknife and good intentions.
Tensions in a lot of love relationships — and tension over the lack of a love relationship — that have been building since last week will be hitting a peak this week. On Tuesday, Venus in Cancer reaches the exact opposition with Pluto. Try to avoid being too demanding of your loved ones, potential loved ones, and your diet. Sure, some relief may be called for, but the Moon is void of course most of that day. Your fervent demands for change on those fronts may well be greeted with a big cosmic yawn. If there is confrontation to be had, needs to be insisted upon, or diets to be enforced, you might want to think carefully before you act.
If that wasn’t enough to crumble your cookie, on Thursday Venus makes an exact square with Uranus. Venus square Uranus may not be the most stable foundation to build your love life on, but if the foundations are cracked, it’s an excellent time to bust out the sledgehammer and do some renovations. Or, if things have gotten a bit stale, it might be time to let your freak flag fly.
What may be required here is a little good old-fashioned luck, and for some of you that is certainly a possibility: Jupiter is spending its second-last week in Gemini, unaspected other than the occasional hit from the Moon. Think of it as “the luck planet” running around unsupervised in a construction zone (Gemini is a bad neighborhood for Jupiter): it’s a bit nerve-wracking, but sometimes brilliant results can arise.
So, the big lesson this week — when you put all that together — appears to resemble something like, “get lucky, but carry protection.” It’s a bit like High School, if you think about it … but this time around you have the maturity to handle it better. At least, we hope so…
