March 4th was one of my favorite dates on the calendar, because of an old joke: “What day of the year do soldiers hate? March Forth!” Somehow, the intense six-year-old hilarity of that joke doesn’t translate well into adult terms. But that joke does help set the tone for this week’s transits, which could make a lot of work for you — thrilling, sexy, powerful work. Like a soldier, you have some Free Will, but it takes place within the context of strict regulations. Make the circumstances in the sky this week work for you, and you’ll likely get a promotion … to a saner, more sensible life. It’s still work though, so lace up your boots and hit the parade grounds!
This week the Saturn-Pluto sextile peaks at exactly eleven degrees of Scorpio and Capricorn, and never mind that Saturn is retrograde. It’s still powerful, especially this week when it receives a trine from the Sun, Mercury, and Venus. You will be presented all around with various opportunities to pound your life into shape: your love life, your work, and your money supply included.
Monday is a bit edgy in a hard-to-define way: Venus square Jupiter makes for some personal unpleasantness, either in terms of unfulfilled desires or (for some of you) dietary and/or blood sugar issues. Throw in that Last Quarter Moon in Sagittarius and the mood of ill-defined discomfort is complete. But hey, it’s Monday, and no one expects much of Monday anyway.
The week also features some very long and unproductive Void Of Course Moons, most notably Friday from 5:08 PM Eastern (2:08 PM Pacific) until late Saturday night/Sunday morning. When one considers that Mercury is still retrograde, it will be especially important to not start any new projects (relationships included) during that time. This all builds up to the New Moon in Pisces next Monday, when the whole cycle begins again — hopefully, with less work.
