Love Horoscope for the Week of February 4

The first part of the week sees a Venus-Jupiter trine, with Uranus in the middle performing a sextile to both. This is a fairly unique combination, and is worth exploiting. Venus and Jupiter are a natural pairing for good times in one’s love life, finances, and just in general. Adding Uranus to the mix brings sparkle, shine, and surprise. If you have any major placements around six degrees of the Fire or Air Signs, you are bound to feel the effects somehow. Even if you don’t though, someone or other in your environment probably does. Reach out and touch that someone or other (literally or figuratively), and you’ll get good results.

Oh, and also: Venus is building towards a square to Saturn, just in time for Valentine’s next week. That’s the thing about astrology: big buckets of good news like the previous paragraph don’t last forever, so you’ve got to jump on that wagon when it presents itself.

Mars is also a big player this week. The soft and sensitive nature of Pisces is kind of an odd fit for Mars, who would usually rather shoot first and (maybe) ask questions later. Early in the week, Mars conjunct Neptune makes for a lack of drive (or some very unusual drives), and later in the week Mars conjunct Mercury can make for unusually sharp and hasty words. In either case, a little thought beforehand can save you a lot of apologizing later.

The weekend sees a New Moon in Aquarius, at around 21-22 degrees of that Sign. This is normally a time when I get all New-Agey and tell you things about setting your intentions for the coming month, manifesting what you want for your life, and so on. Yes, generally that sort of thing is true. However, given that this New Moon involves a very close square to the Nodes and a Mercury-Mars conjunction square Jupiter, the “karmic ties” you deal with may involve the urge to tie a noose around the neck of people you feel connected to. The weekend should be fun, people… let’s not ruin it with any verbal blow-ups. And should one of those Karmic Buddies of yours be the one who produces the outburst, let’s not counter with anything too drastic, okay?
