Culture Club once wrote a song called “Time (Clock Of The Heart).” Like many of the Great Masterworks of the 1980s, it was catchy and bouncy and had some veiled meaning to the lyrics. This week’s astrological outlook is like that, except that the “clock” in this case is Mars in Pisces, the organ involved likely isn’t the heart, and the outcome for many of you could (frankly) stand to be a lot more “veiled” than they will be.
Early in the week, Mars square Jupiter makes the mood restless and impulsive and a little confused — Jupiter in Gemini makes for all kinds of odd and scattered (yet highly enthusiastic) impulses in any planet it aspects. Mars, frankly, doesn’t really need that kind of encouragement. Be cautious with obstacles that need to be addressed, and be careful not to use a shotgun when pruning shears would be more appropriate. Like Boy George, Mars in Pisces knows what it is and what it wants, and the end result could be quite pleasing — even if it doesn’t end up dressed in the suit and tie you had originally hoped for.
The somewhat cranky and confused mood passes by midweek, and a relatively rare (and if properly used, beneficial) combination kicks in. Mercury conjunct Mars lends a major boost to your mental output: now would be a great time to finish that project, write that report, or have that conversation that you’ve been putting off for too long. And this time, you’ve got Saturn on your side!

That’s the background beat we’re all dancing to this week, and with a little effort applied on your part, the results could be a hit. Just don’t let the weird and fuzzy nature of Mars in Pisces throw you off with those incomprehensible lyrics and unexpected costumes.
