Love Horoscope for the Week of December 17

The plot thickens. Information comes to you from various sources, much of which may conflict with your point of view, or just doesn’t line up with what you’ve previously been told. It can feel that way when cosmic messenger Mercury spars with pontificating Jupiter.

Differences of opinion? You can count on it. But there’s something about those differing agendas or viewpoints that stirs you in a rather exhilarating way. Mercury has been tapping into the genius of Uranus—so you’ll end up gaining something, even if it appears as though you’re losing ground.

One key to getting the juice from this week’s cosmic squeeze is an ability to toggle back and forth between your logic and intuition. This is highlighted by Venus’ square to Chiron, and the Moon’s First Quarter Square in Pisces. Call it a double-whammy message to unite heart and head. Question your assumptions, and be open to others’ ideas; there’s a gem in one of them.

And try not to take yourself too seriously, in spite of the Sun’s entry into stern Capricorn on Friday. Your world will not come to an end if someone sees the remnants of egg on your face. In fact, your world will not come to an end, period. Don’t heed the hysteria surrounding December 21, which marks not only Solstice but—this year—the end of the Mayan Long Count calendar.

Having said that, there is a type of All Sales Final signature to that much-hyped day: Mercury will re-stimulate last June’s lunar eclipse, bringing a final twist to a situation from back then. It’s okay to ditch any unwanted cargo; your ship will come sailing in next week.
