Love Horoscope for the Week of July 23

Let’s take a cue from dreamy Neptune’s prominent role this week, and conjure up a fantasy: You’re a character in a video game. You have a mission complete with trials to overcome. It’s inevitable that you will be victorious, but the not knowing how you will vanquish the dragon and retrieve that lost key (for instance) is what makes the game such fun.

Who is your character, and what is your mission? He or she can possess any characteristics that you feel like experimenting with—and can also reveal some artful ways for you to navigate inevitable bumps in the road.

After all, with Thursday’s First Quarter Square Moon in Scorpio you’re bound to experience conflict between wanting attention (I am a superhero …) versus total anonymity (… and nobody must know my true identity). Yet this conflict opens a window into your core. If you care to look through it, you will find remarkable strengths you’ve overlooked, as well as potential traps that keep you stuck.

Think of your hero as your alter ego. Like all great heroes, you’ve got helpers and enemies. Alas, the two are not as easy to differentiate between as you’d like to think. In fact, your character has an enormous blindspot about one saboteur in particular: You. How can this be? you wonder. And then a wizened ally appears, and reminds you what you have always sensed: that you are your thoughts; that all of your thoughts shape you.

As you meld with that inner divine child that you’ve always wanted to be, now is the moment to re-program those thoughts to become one with yourself, hero.
