Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon Compatibility

Film Festival Screening of Precious, !

Ever since Mariah Carey married boyfriend Nick Cannon in May 2008, their relationship has elicited a ton of skepticism. (After all, they were only dating for a hot second before they decided to take the plunge. In a hurry, much?) The over-under on their marriage was six months at the most, and their shelf life was so short that media outlets didn’t even bother to combine their names into a catchy uber-term. (See: TomKat, Speidi.)

Since Mariah decided against a pre-nup, many disregarded their pairing as nothing more than a “Sugar Mama” situation. Some claimed Nick spent more time with Mariah’s credit cards than with her. Others felt it was a publicity stunt to promote the four movies Nick had out that year (yeah, we can’t seem to remember them, either) and the release of her album “E=MC2? (coincidentally, Nick appeared as the love interest in one of her videos.)

But now that the marriage has been on and strong for nearly eighteen months–an eternity in celebdom–and baby rumors are running rampant, Moonit goes behind the music to see if this thing is fo’ real. Oddly enough, Moonit’s relationship compatibility assessment shows the two are able to use their decade-wide age gap to their advantage, and their romantic potential is through the roof (Say what? Yeah, we were pretty shocked, too.)
