Aries woman with Moon in Aquarius: When will I feel some relief from this loneliness?

Jennifer writes,
I have been through a rough time this past year, with a lot of life changes. I divorced, started grad school, and moved away from my family to a city where I didn’t know anyone. The adjustment has been tough, although I am very proud of what I have accomplished career-wise and at school. My main focus, however, has been relationships in spite of the fact that I know I should just be focusing on work and my degree. I have been through several relationships, with my ex and with a relationship I had after we separated, where the person lied to me and I ended up being deceived. My ex solicited for sex online behind my back, and a guy I was seeing after I separated ended up leading me to believe he was in the middle of divorce when he was not. Neptune just finished transiting through my 7th house if that gives you any idea! The end result was me feeling very disillusioned and pessimistic over whether or not I will ever find happiness or real security with anyone for along time. I recently drew up a new solar chart and the Sun is sitting in the 7th house on my Descendant, but I am afraid this just means that I will continue to be focused on relationships rather than signifying actual relief in this area. Although I have felt a lot of positive movement in my professional life, when will I start feeling better about my personal life? At this point, I am afraid to hope, because it feels like my hope in the past year has been crushed over and over! When can I expect some relief from this lonely, isolated feeling I have been carrying around for so long?
Jennifer,
The good news is that transiting Neptune has left your 7th house. The not so good news is that it is now conjunct your Mars, and will continue to do so until 2011. Mars in Aquarius can by symbolized by the young man who does not want to be constrained by commitment, unless he’s given lots of space to express his individuality. You may be drawn to idealize this kind of guy, and being that Mars is in your 8th house of sex and that it traditionally rules your 5th house of romance (where you have Neptune natally), you are not likely to see these areas of your life very clearly over the next few years. Mars also rules your career and is the ruler of your Aries Sun, so hopefully you can strive to turn your visions into reality — for what better way to use Mars-Neptune than taking action to actualize your dreams?
The winter eclipses hit you pretty hard. The New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius was a few degrees from your 7th house Aquarius Moon, stimulating a desire to find nourishment and security in a partnership. Yet the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo opposed your 8th house Mars — as well as transiting Neptune — perhaps bringing to light the sexual deception in your recent relationship. Full Moons are culminating in energy, so the bubble has burst, so to speak. The New Moon, on the other hand, is driving your desire to start anew in your love life.
Your progressed Venus — which shows your inner readiness for change — is currently at the very last few minutes of the last degree of Gemini. She is literally just about to move into Cancer, signifying a major shift from seeking variety to pursuing security. Combine this with the stimulating effect of the eclipse conjunct your natal Moon, and it is clear that you want to settle down.
Fortunately, as Neptune moves on from transiting your natal Mars, your progressed Sun in Taurus will conjoin your natal Venus in February 2011. This Venus-Sun conjunction signals a readiness to accept love into your life — Venus is the planet of relationship, and the Sun signifies a significant male in your life, as archetypally the Sun is the husband.
There will be a challenge, though. Around this time, transiting Saturn — planet of hardship and restriction — will be opposing your natal Sun from Fall 2010 to Fall 2011, while a Capricorn Solar Eclipse in January 2011 will be opposing your natal Saturn and squaring your Sun. Oppositions are “relationship” aspects, and being that both the Sun and Saturn are archetypally male, you may have to make some painful separations from one or more men in your life in order to be more receptive to love. By letting go of whomever no longer nourishes you, you make room in your life for someone who can.

Thank you so much Jeffery, I am relieved to hear that the bubble has “burst” and the worst might be over. I just have a follow-up question about the Saturn activity occurring from Fall 2010-11, although I realize it may not be possible to know right now. Could tr Saturn opposing my natal Sun represent my attitudes and communication with males, or does it defintely represent a person? Reforming my communication with males is an issue that is just now starting to crop up for me. In any case, the suggestion that I need to get rid of old baggage in order to move forward is very relevant in my life, and I hope by 2010-11 I will have that down.
Jennifer, certainly with Saturn transiting through your 3rd house, communication issues will be a key theme in your life. That being said, oppositions usually need to be played out in relationships, and although it’s important to work on your attitudes and ideas, the changes you make mentally become manifest in how you talk to other people.
That makes perfect sense. Thanks so much Jeffery!
you’re welcome
