How to turn on a Cancer woman

Are tired of the dating game? Before you resign yourself to being a solitary soul, consider a Cancer woman! You may not have noticed the shy yet seductive quality that exudes from every Crab. Her head slightly tilts to one side as she sympathetically listens to the woes of a friend, and a tinge of desire beckons from within you.
So how do you turn on a Cancer woman? Not easily. If you have plans to get in her pants, unlike her Cardinal cousin Aries, she isn’t interested in “wham bam, thank you ma’am” sex — there are some hoops to jump through first. I read all posts on this site, and yes its true caps can be very judgemental, cold, and in my case merciless, but despite all that I have a sort of lovehate attraction for cancers, they are sweet people but they are very over-sensitive and self-pitying and those are large signs of weakness, especially self-pitying, and being a capricorn power and strength is very important to me.
Mountain Goat, It just depends on your perception of what is and isn’t weak. Scorpio women hate weakness also but they are very jealous and powerhungry and those traits to me are very weak traits.

LOL, at least you admit it. And I disagree. Libran are one of the most insecure women, they require attention 90% of the time, and don’t know how to have an identity outside of their relationship. I’ve also found this with Leo women, and even the oh so strong Scorpion women they are just very good at hiding it. Cancers will be insecure if their partner is drooling over another chick, or saying he likes something opposite of what she is/has ( ex. he says he likes thick curvy women, she is petite) Yes we are sensitive and moody, but when we evolve we don’t take everything to heart. At least I don’t. You have to be very relevant to get there.

In today’s age, ANY modern woman of ANY astrological sign raised in the 21st century would shudder at the meek 50’s housewife descriptions so frequently attributed to Cancer. What’s sexy about the clingy, sappy, insecure mothering type? Ask any single man, woman, child and their dog – absolutely f*** all. We are bombarded with social and media messages of what’s ’strong’ and ’sexy’ – and most of the time, it’s the complete opposite of the proposed Cancer archetype. Frustrated Cancerians feel ’stuck’ with it a lot of the time, so they retaliate hopelessly.
There is a sense of: “am I just deluding myself in thinking I am not the typical weak little Crab? Should I just take on more ‘weak’ characteristic in order to be perceived as authentic and not hiding in my tough shell? I believe in astrology, yet it seems to not quite get me right…” And the frustration ensues. We want to read something we can relate to, it’s almost as if astrology keeps missing the mark. However, my Moon sisters, it really doesn’t.
Astrology has one thing down pat about us: Due to the influence of the Moon, we are and will remain an enigma of sorts. We relate to EVERY sign and NO sign depending on the cycle of the Moon. The nature of the Moon is such that it makes our personalities and egos changeable and undefinable. Once this is accepted, it almost becomes defined in itself. If you are confident about your sensitivity, then you are a person who is strong in themselves and makes no apologies about your feelings. This is the greatest lesson for Crabs on their path to enlightenment. Remember that your soul CHOSE to enter this world as a Cancerian, having experienced being Gemini on the karmic wheel of life, and deciding that it was time to delve into the realm of intuition, instead of just flighty and cold logic. Explore the gifts this offers. Remember you are headed for Leo next time around, so nurture qualities of self-confidence (just like the Leo will need to learn humility from Virgo, and so on). Most Cancerians feel they relate more strongly to other areas of their chart, and this is most likely true – the Moon is pliable to influence, and if other areas in your chart are stronger, then you will be more like your ‘Venus in Gemini’ or whatever it is. What’s very Cancerian about you is that you will still be frustratingly questioning how that fits into your Sun sign.
Human consciousness evolves with the times, and so do female stereotypes. Cancerian females I know are as varied as they can be, in and out of the bedroom. From the promiscuous, commitment phobic ones, to true maternal archetypes. Just like every woman. Astrology didn’t get it wrong. Just that, when it comes to the Moon, what can you say when there is nothing that can be pegged down for too long? How to you typify and peg down a true ‘woman’, who subscribes to the illogical, sacred feminine principle, the ultimate feminine mystique? The ultimate woman. She can not be pegged down, she is every woman, she changes, she cannot be truly defined any which way. She laughs, she cries, she survives, she wins, she loses, she brings joy and sadness. Cancerian women are all over the place trying to fit in, trying to be pegged somehow in society, when most don’t realize that the freedom that comes with your unpredictable lunacy is the greatest gift of all. Embrace EVERYTHING you are, all of it – love it, live it, teach others by example how it’s done.

I am a cancer woman and the description that it gave above describes me exactly! It is not off by one word, from personality to turn ons and offs. All signs have their strengths and weaknesses. I am most definitely comfortable with all of mine. I love being a cancer!
I did not follow your whole discussion but just felt like i should make a comment on this.
I am a cancer myself and i think that everybody pictures cancer women as weak and fragile. Like as we were always being controlled, but never in control, specially when it comes to sex issues. Well, that’s not exactly the way i see myself and other cancer girls i know (a lot, btw..). We are so protective and loyal in sex as we are in life. We need security. And the thing is that i think most people confuses this need of loyalty and security with weakness and, maybe sometimes, shyness and the necessity of taking “things” slow (being this a “bad” thing). Just a thought

The idea is that some women are more apt to show it than others.
Cancer women are easy to understand if you wore your emotions on your sleeve. It makes it very difficult to hide what we feel inside. Believe me, Im 45 years old and have always had to control hiding emotions and holding them in.

mountain goat, I’ts scorpio women who cry during sex. Read linda goodmans lovesigns. Also Libra’s are the sweetest sunsign and the ones i know have a great personality and get along with all. They don’t need a man to define them. So don’t put libra’s down. And even if scorps cry during sex so what. I only mentioned about scorps weakness because mountaing goat was saying cancerians are weak and i was giving an example as to what some percieve to be weak in others may not be weak to everyone. Guys who act tough and are egostitcal to me are the weakest. Pisces is the strongest due to they don’t need to act tough and egostical and showoff to be tough but they are the least weak sunsign in my cancerian opionion.
Im Cancer in Sun and Scorpio in Moon. I think best case seduction scenario for me would probably start with me and a potential partner becoming good friends. This can be accomplished by asking me out on a series of low stress informal dates to just have lunch or go grab some coffee at the local coffee shop and talk about stuff like friends do. Then being emotionally open and honest when you are communicating with me. I’ll feel secure faster this way. I really don’t care about displays of wealth, status, or physical strength with males. Height, weight, looks are only marginally important as all people to me end up looking like a mesh of their emotional true selves and physical selves anyways. What I do look for is a combination of having emphathy, sense of humor, high IQ and EQ, interests and ambitions, certain degree of self-awareness (being able to analyze your emotions and why you do what you do in a complex way).
Sex is an all or nothing thing. That is you won’t get any until I feel that I am secure with you. This might take 1 day (yes i had a one night stand once), or it may take several months (usually the case). And after that you will get it all, including playing out all kinds of fantasies that both of us probably accrued through the period of abstinence.

@ Libralady. I stand by my statement Libra women NEED attention more so than any other signs to keep themselves feeling validated. Oh… and I smile and believe me I get enough attention. Regardless of how astrology makes it, I have yet to see a Libra besides Kim Kardashian live up to the Libra description astrology gives. Water signs are just more alluring and sensual.
