According to People, Amy Winehouse’s husband has filed for divorce on the grounds of her adultery. She has recently been seen alongside a “hunky rugby player.”
Amy Winehouse — born September 14, 1983 in London (time unknown, Source: Wikipedia — view chart) — is a Virgo with a Venus-Mars conjunction in Leo. Her Sun, at degree 21 of this perfectionistic sign, is being clobbered by both transiting Saturn and Uranus. The planet of hardship and lessons learned just recently stationed retrograde exactly on her Sun (meaning that Saturn stopped in its tracks and apparently started moving backwards in the sky at the same position in the zodiac where the Sun was when Winehouse was born). Any time a planet changes direction, it has an uber-powerful effect, especially when it is making an angle to (or is conjunct) one of our natal planets. Obviously, loss is comin’ down hard on Amy. And although we don’t know if the divorce papers are a surprise to her, the opposition of Uranus — planet of unexpected turnarounds and the urge to form an independent identity — to her Sun (the husband in a woman’s chart) is certainly forcing her to make a clean break.
Given that she seemed to be pretty enmeshed with Blake Fielder-Civil (who’s currently doing time), perhaps it’s all for the best. Winehouse has Moon conjunct Neptune, a planetary combination known for substance abuse and loose interpersonal boundaries. Currently, transiting Neptune — planet of loss, deception and sacrifice — is opposing her Venus in Leo. Perhaps she is having an affair. When Neptune and Venus join forces, love becomes idealized. The rules of marriage mean little when you are on Cloud Nine. Yet this combo also brings disillusionment and the potential dissolution of a treasured romance.
Blake Field-Civil’s birthdate is not known for certain, but a recent article in The Sun reports that it’s April 17, 1982. (Amy’s wiki page mentions his home town is Lincolnshire, England — view chart) It does not look like he’s being hit hard by the outer planets like his poor wife is. However, his noon-time Moon is at 7 Aquarius, which just happens to be the degree where Mercury just stationed retrograde on Sunday. Being that the Moon symbolizes the wife and that Mercury rules paperwork, the timing of this event seems apt.

I’d say yes. I’m not quite exactly sure how. I think my mom appreciates my dad’s steadiness. And in light of what i’ve been learning about antiscia (see Cassandra’s venus in pisces post), Aries and Virgo should be compatible because they’re both the same distance from the solstice point.
