Beth took the words out of my mouth. I originally read this post over at Astro Dispatch and I immediately said to myself, "Oh, she's becoming his office wife."

Like Beth, I'm a veteran of corporate America. The office "marriages" I've witnessed often last longer than the real ones. However, they function best if never consummated.

Just don't make the mistake of sacrificing your life for this guy. Ever see the film "Mr. and Mrs. Bridge," where Paul Newman's secretary confesses to him that she's given up her entire life for him? It happened a lot in the old days, when women were limited in the professional sphere.

Knowledge is power.

Sticky,

Welcome to Office Wife Land. You've entered a peculiar place of where you are expected to offer emotional intimacy as part of your job description. All the work and none of the perks.

And how like a Cancer man to do this. Women are often confused by a Cancer male's propensity to offer instant intimacy. But this does not mean that he see you in anything other than your current role. In fact his Jupiter, Mercury combination sitting on your Moon argues that he sees you as a good friend. So if you are looking for something more, you must tread carefully.

If you value your job, keep it all business. If you can't, find another.

Good luck.

@stickylabel, it takes two ... so it's really a matter of how you trigger each other. Your Mars is probably more focused on getting work done, while he sees the office as more of a family-environment where he can either display his quirkiness or run things in an unconventional manner. This may anger you, or more precisely, his Uranian personality may spark your drive to fight against him to establish some sort of order.

At the same time, there's the Saturn-Uranus interaspect by conjunction, where there's a bit of an opposite dynamic. So, yes, long-term tension.

"Something's gotta give" means explosiveness, rebellion, fighting.

Thanks very much for this. Could I get some clarification on something?

"Your Capricorn Mars opposes his Sun-Uranus conjunction, which can also create lots of tension. This combination may lead to danger, as Mars-Uranus is the aspect of rash, impulsive actions. Although this opposition occurs in conservative signs, you’ve got three energetic, yang planets, so something’s gotta give eventually."

Are these rash impulsive actions on both are parts? Is one of us more rash than the other? On two occasions we've had really heated arguments where we both ended up yelling at each other. Does this and the "resist him laying down the law" cause long term tension? When you say "something's gotta give eventually" what's that all about?

Thanks again for your insight. And as of last night leaving work, I already started drawing firm boundaries.
