November 18: Moon conjunct South Node

November 18, 2008 by Matthew Currie

The South Node is a theoretical point in the sky: you can’t see it or smell it. It isn’t “real” — just like your emotions aren’t as real and solid a “thing” as the brain they reside in. Of course, telling yourself that today when you’re feeling overly needy, clingy, and picked on by your Mom isn’t going to help much. Neither will binge-eating to take your mind off of it. But those approaches are better than nothing, so give it a shot.

Jeff, my natal Venus is conjunct the current NN and that Moon opposition just feels faaantastic!! I feel positively cut open today….EVERYTHING is coming out. It feels like false therapy though and I think I’m going to regret blabbing my feelings to everyone. I should try binge eating to keep my cry hole shut or buy a new stuffed animal and deliver a dramatic dialogue from some old depressing play to it.

  2. AE, I think opportunities to really let go are so few and far between that you should go with it.
