Behind the ‘Scopes: Pisces Full Moon conjunct Uranus, Sun square Pluto
Behind the Scopes is my humble attempt to deconstruct Michelle Piller’s horoscopes for this week, based on her notes and my knowledge of astrology. A horoscope writer puts the Sun sign on the Ascendant and looks at the house placements of all the planets, so these are most accurate when you look at your Rising Sign.

General: This week features a deep-feeling Pisces Full Moon conjunct shocking Uranus, widely square powerful Pluto. Also this week, the Sun squares Pluto, resulting in power struggles.
- Mercury, Venus and Mars in Libra (Seventh House of Partnership): As the rest of us run around like the sky is falling, you sit back and wonder what all the fuss is about — especially since things are great with your mate.
- Libra stellium trine Neptune in Aquarius (Eleventh House of Wishes): You may even be dreaming of an ideal future together.
- Full Moon conjunct sudden and illuminating Uranus in Pisces (Twelfth House of Intuition): If an intuitive message comes like a bolt out of the blue, listen to it before making any commitments…
- Sun, ruler of Leo (Fifth House of Romance) is in Virgo (Sixth House of Work), square Pluto and Midheaven (0 degrees Capricorn): And if you’re looking for love, check out the scenery at work — but keep your hot little hands to yourself, until this cosmic storm has passed.
- Mercury, ruler of Virgo (Fifth House of Romance) in Libra stellium (conjunct lovers Venus and Mars) trine imaginative Neptune: You can’t keep your mind from spinning romantic fantasies.
- Sun in Virgo (Fifth House of Romance) square Pluto in Sagittarius (Eighth House of Passionate Intimacy and Possessive Feelings): Should jealousy rear its ugly head in real life, try and keep your feet on the ground and your temper in check. If you’re involved with someone, there’s potential for enormous passion… Or maybe you’re in for great make-up sex.
- Full Moon in Pisces (Eleventh House of Hopes and Dreams) opposite Saturn in Virgo (Fifth House of Romance): … provided you two don’t get into a battle over long-range plans.
- Mercury, ruler of Gemini, conjunct Venus and Mars in Libra (Fifth House of Romance): All is fair in love and war, and there’s plenty of both — so heads (Mercury), hearts (Venus) and shields (Mars) up.
- Libra stellium trine Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius: Romance, fun and creative inspiration are mingling beautifully, so at the very least, write some poetry or compose love songs if you can’t share romance with someone else.
- Jupiter in Capricorn (Eighth House of Sex) and Pluto at cusp of Eighth House (last degrees of Sagittarius) square Sun: If you’re coupled up, there’s great energy for steamy sex if you don’t resort to fighting dirty.
- Full Moon conjunct Uranus in Pisces (Tenth House of Career) opposite Saturn in Virgo (Fourth House of Home): One of you may have to deal with a work crisis while the other sits at home feeling lonely.
- Full Moon conjunct Uranus in Pisces (Ninth House) and opposite Saturn in Virgo (Third House), the Axis of Communication: You can have whatever you wish for, but it’s all in how you ask. You’re torn between holding your tongue (Saturn) or unleashing a torrent that would peel paint (Uranus conjunct Full Moon).
- Pluto will enter Capricorn (Seventh House of Partnership) in November: They say we only hurt the ones we love, but isn’t that a little messed up? … you’ll eventually be called upon to learn how to work with power issues — especially in your relationship.
- Full Moon conjunct Uranus in Pisces (Eighth House of Shared Resources) opposite Sun and Saturn in Virgo (Second House of Money) — the Axis of Finances: Something out of the blue (Uranus) may bite your pocketbook in the behind. But you’re made up of much more than the sum of your bank account, so you’re not going to freak out or blame your mate — no matter how tempting.
- Mercury, Venus and Mars in Libra (Third House of Communication) trine Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius (Seventh House of Partnership): Use mellow tones if you and your partner need to strategize; you’ll find a solution.
- Sun square Pluto in Sagittarius (Fifth House of Romance): If you’re looking for love, you’ll find more comfort hugging a tree than a human.
- Full Moon in Pisces means Sun in Virgo (First House of Self) opposite Moon in Pisces (Seventh House of Partnership): It’s about taking care of yourself before taking care of others.
- Venus, ruler of Libra, in First House of Self, trine Neptune (planet of deception). Mercury (planet of communication) in Libra (First House) also trine Neptune: If you stretch the truth even a teensy bit…
- Sun in Virgo (Twelfth House of Deception) square Pluto in Sagittarius (Third House of Communication). Classic aspect for power struggles: …someone’s going to come down on you hard … there’s potential for a big ol’ showdown with someone.
- Mercury, Venus and Mars in Libra (Twelfth House of Imagination and Fantasy) trine Neptune (planet of imagination) but also quincunx Uranus, which is strengthened in its conjunction to the Full Moon: … everything is fantastic in your imagination. And that’s pretty much the only safe place to hide out this week.
- Pluto in Sagittarius (Second House of Money) square Sun: …money squabbles continue to color your landscape.
- Uranus conjunct Full Moon in Pisces (Fifth House of Romance): Emotional issues in your love life may spin you for a loop.
- Pluto in Sagittarius
(First House of Self) square Sun: If you like a good old-fashioned knock ‘em down fight, then this week is made for you…. You could mess someone up if they even look at you sideways!
- Jupiter (planet of good fortune) in Capricorn: … you may be the only lucky one in the zodiac who’s not cowering in a corner.
- Moon, ruler of Cancer (Seventh House of Partnership), is part of a Full Moon in Pisces (Third House of Communication) conjunct Uranus: Your mate, on the other hand (if you have one), may not fare so well. There could be words. Shocking (Uranus) words (Third House).
- Uranus, modern ruler of Aquarius, is conjunct Pisces Full Moon, which is T-square Pluto: The depth of your feelings (Pisces Full Moon) may take you by surprise (Uranus) this week.
- Pluto will be moving into Aquarius’ Twelfth House (Capricorn) in November: Big changes are in store this Fall….
- Sun, ruler of Leo (Seventh House), in Virgo (Eighth House of Deep Sex) biquintile (that’s a 144-degree angle, folks!) Chiron (the Wounded Healer) in Aquarius: If you’re partnered with someone you really trust, then sex can be a powerful, even healing outlet.
- Mercury, ruler of Gemini (Fifth House of Romance) conjunct Venus and Mars in Libra (Ninth House of Ideas). All these Libra planets are trine Neptune in Aquarius and quincunx Uranus, ruler of Aquarius: If you’re in search of a mate, you’ll likely be attracted to someone’s beautiful (Libra) mind (Ninth House). It’s their ideas — and how well they relate to your utopian vision (trine to Neptune) – that matters most right now.
- Full Moon in Pisces, which ups the emotions for this sign: Keep the hankies close and tell everyone it’s just allergies.
- Full Moon conjunct Uranus in Pisces, opposite Sun and Saturn in Virgo (Seventh House of Partnership): Part of you wants to run off and join the circus, (Uranus) and part of you wants to stay put (Saturn). Annoying to be caught up in such conflicting desires, isn’t it?
- Venus and Mars in Libra (Eighth House of Sex): If you’re involved in a relationship, there’s major romance in the boudoir to soothe some of the rough edges between you.
- Moon, ruler of Cancer (Fifth House of Romance) in Pisces (First House of Self): Loving yourself is the foundation of any intimate relationship….
