The Astrology of Kink: The Sagittarius Adventure

Leather and lace, fringe and fetish … in this series, we’ll take a peek at the kinkier side of the zodiac. Each sign has its own distinct sexual flavor; by combining the various tastes you find in the natal chart, each person’s unique sexual recipe begins to emerge. What makes the Sagittarius so special?
Sagittarius is represented by the Centaur, half-human, half-horse. Ever visit a stud farm during breeding season? Equines who are otherwise decent-enough working animals are insane with the urge to breed; the only thing standing between the animals’ urges and utter rutting chaos is the intervention of human handlers.
It’s lucky for the rest of us, then, that Sagittarius has its human handler built in — if they’ll stoop to obeying him or her, that is. The sex drive is strong, impulsive, and somewhat conquest-oriented, and some Centaurs end up with more notches on their bedposts than Virgo has little pills.
Sagittarius has the ability to easily separate sex from emotion. Security and intimacy are important to Sagittarius, but are not necessarily linked to their fiery physical drives. Spontaneous sexual adventures and one-night stands are usually guilt-free; Sagittarians hate restrictions of all kinds, and the occasional bout of unrestrained sexual freedom can be deeply satisfying in a way that other signs might not readily understand.
Sagittarians also make fantastic sex workers, especially if the job calls for live action on demand. They’re not necessarily the show-offs of the sex industry, but practicality and physical vigor more than make up for any lack of showmanship.
This is a mutable sign, and its ruler Jupiter lends a cavalier streak — Sagittarius will try anything once. They’re not fond of labels (labels equal limits) but will sometimes compromise outwardly in order to maintain security at home. Hence, you find a large number of naturally pansexual Sagittarians maintaining the appearance of a monosexual relationship, while dallying elsewhere with members of both sexes. They’re also attracted to the idea of open relationships, but, like their opposing sign Gemini, sometimes find even open agreements tough to keep; restrictions are restrictions, after all, no matter how generous!
Oddly enough, Sagittarius tends to pick up specific fetishes more readily than any other sign except for Virgo. Stocking fetishes, latex fetishes, more esoteric fetishes like pony play or other role-specific “musts” … you name it, a Sagittarius will adopt it, at least for a little while. The difference between Virgo and Sagittarius is persistence; a Centaur’s fetishistic interests tend to fade abruptly. This sign explores things thoroughly, yes, but then moves on to the next unexplored sexual arena with little warning and even less regret.
Both Mars and Venus in Sagittarius are equally prone to this adventurous outlook on sex. The Sagittarian Sun shares it, too, but most Centaur Suns tend to settle down eventually, and turn their expansive urges toward less physical conquests. No Sagittarian can tolerate excessive restrictions, though, no matter how settled they seem. Confinement is always uncomfortable, and when the horizon of possibilities begins shrinking around them, it’s only a matter of time before they react, with all the desperation of a claustrophobic mustang in a broom closet.
If you’re the kind of person who values spontaneity, adventure and fiery independence over certain security, you’ll love Sagittarius. Give them plenty of room to explore all the fascinating experiences life has to offer, and you’ll have a lover who is affectionate, playful and vital. Try to fence them in, and all you’ll have is an empty paddock. Think you can handle this free spirit? If you can, it’ll be the ride of a lifetime.

“Adventure” is the perfect word for the Sag bed play…yummy and exhausting!
Sags are also very great to be with because of the bluntness…both on their end and their appreciation of yours! They aren’t really good with the teasing, to put it lightly.
Like Sag Julianne Moore in ‘The Big Lebowski’ when she breaks into ‘the dudes’ house and gets into his robe and when ‘the dude’ shows up she just drops it and says…”Jeffrey..love me.”
(I loved that! Jeff Bridges is also a Sag and that movie is like one big fat Sag adventure.)

I used to feel enthusiastic about Sags, males in particular, that is until I realized how much they lie. They are truth seekers oddly enough, but they tend to lie alot through omission. Not outright lies, just leaving important details out of the picture.
I’ve had Sag males screw plenty with my mind twisting it into believing thier weaved tales. I dunno. My Sag male was not adventurous in bed, but rather stale. Most times, it felt like he wasn’t even there with me and it really wasn’t intimate or very enjoyable. It was more a selfish adventure for him and I received little to no satisfaction out of it.
Wish I’d have had a better experience, but honestly, my Sag was into drugs, reckless behavior, impulsive moves – and just generally unpredictable. I’m a Taurus and that energy doesn’t fit me. It’s unsettling to me and frankly, he looks wishy-washy to me. Like a car doing 60mph down the road and he’s sitting in the backseat drinking a beer wondering where it’s going.
Great guy, lousy boyfriend. Sorry Sags. I’m sure there are many of you out there with a tad more self-discipline than mine had though. We should’ve just remained friends.

I’ve had a few sag lovers (and friends) through the years, and it fits all of them well. I see tinges of my partner in there too, and he has a sag moon (and I suspect rising, but that’s all speculation) – then his sun is in Cancer, so he has the tendency to live through his moon.
I also agree with angelineelise up there, that they tend to be experts in the art of tease.

I’m a conquest maniac to the extreme, but I will sacrifice the need to roam if my partner will let me possess them….mindbodysoul, all of it.
Usually, the best way for my partner to keep me in line is via domination…..or crying to me (yeah, I’m a sucker, Moon in Pisces, and a crying man renders me faithful). I like a strong, but emotional, male.

I was just saying to a good friend and colleague the other day, during a conversation about noted social critic, writer, playwright and jazz music expert Stanley Crouch, who is about as known for his multiple marriages (three of em, a White, Black and Latin woman – there’s Sag’s love of variety for ya!), Scorps ain’t got nothin’ on us Archers. Remember Captain Kirk and that Green Lady on Star Trek? Kirk was DEFINITELY a Sag.
I personally have the Moon in Taurus and Venus in Capricorn in my Western/Tropical chart, so that inclines me a bit more toward the settling down type, at the very least, to being a bit more upfront about playing the field. I just never had much tolerance for all the gyrations and game playing, so if I was interested in a lady, but didn’t have an interest in a relationship, I’d simply tell her that and that I was very interested in a sexual encounter with her. Of course, that line of argument netted me a couple of slaps, LOL, but one would be surprised to learn just how many ladies out there are game for a no strings roll in the hay. If nothing else, putting your cards right on the table, in a most respectful way of course, says that you’ve got balls.
And women, really, really, like that! Even if they’re not interested.

anyways, you are such a centaur! haha. i’m a sag female, and you archer boys annoy the cheese outa me. but i do appreciate that i ALWAYS know where i stand with ya’ll. that is SO ANNOYING about all the other signs (except maybe scorpio). no one else really knows how to be CLEAR and make things so simple, straightforward. afterall, who wants to play a game if the rules haven’t been properly explained? duh!

Ok, first off I don’t lie, I do not reveal the whole truth, but only because I don’t think details are important. Seriously it eerks me when others want details from me as if trying to catch me in a lie… when I just don’t care or even remember minute details. We are forgetful to a fault. We tell it like it is even if you don’t want to hear it but not because we don’t care, its simply that we aren’t as touchy feely as earth, water and air signs. It does not evan occur to us that it may be hurtful, if we do realize… we WONT go there.
As for your bad sex… well you just weren’t suited for each other. I once had a pisces guy that wanted to stare deep into my eyes and whisper sweet nothings until dawn…literally dawn. It bored me to death. Imagine my sag mind energetically going from here to there whilst he droned on about himself. I actually timed how long it took for him to realize that I had not said a word… yes 8 hours. Basically we love adventure, action, intrigue, physical games that forever change. Too much of a good thing is just too damn much… so you cant really blame a sag for not being “there” while in bed. To tell you the truth he was probably trying his best to visualize you as someone else, doing something else, some where else… and it obviously showed be cause once again, we SUCK AT LIES.
Even in completely committed relationships we have to feel like something is changing. But once we find the catalyst we become enthralled and hand our hearts over like a little child giving away his favorite toy. Oh, and if you hurt us once we give our heart to you trying to rekindle what was once there is like trying to light a candle that has no wick.

Wow, these posts are pretty on point. I am a fellow female Sag and I agree and disagree with some points. Whether a person lies or not is not gonna be determined by their sun sign. I personally don’t lie. The importance of particular details can become an issue only because we see things differently. We don’t want to seem like we’re full of s*** going through unimportant details, so it’s to the point we go. Relationships are always tough because of a restless nature. We desire a continuity of freshness so that we always feel alive. If our partner’s sex becomes a bore, then on to the next we will explore. It’s our undying urge of conquest and growth which makes us ever so unattainable. If you just can’t love that, then you’ll NEVER be good enough. We are pretty open people, so the possibility of open relationships is interesting, daring, and risque…all of the things we crave. Once you’ve wronged us, we’ll “forgive” you. One thing is, we rarely let our defeaters see us sweat, and we ALWAYS get our sweet revenge…usually remaining to be playful in our endeavors. I personally don’t like to make messes of things. One thing that is great and important is that we love to love. We may not be the greatest partners, but we have amazingly enormous hearts, and we spread our love everywhere we go. Personally been thru relationship with 2 Sagittarius. And I can tell u that the Sags are like birds. Don’t ever try to cage them in any sort of ways cause in the end it will definitely end up with Armageddon.
For any earth signs, my advice is if you are dating a Sagittarius, don’t ever believe that they will adore your ways of life. They may be for the moment, but one fine day they will decide that its not their cup of tea and they will not bare any responsibility for what they said early. If you thinks you cannot accommodate to their way of life then pls find ways to leave this relationship while you can. Else you be wondering what hit you so hard and fast.
If you think you can accommodate then make sure u let them lead their life while you find ways to keep yourself occupied while your Sags is busy venturing at the moon and does not want you to be there.
Of course you can join them an their adventure if they as you to, else leave them to their on.

I am not happy with Sag. males, I have dated one since last June and he lied, he is tight with money, he cheated (and deny it in my face until he confessed)and he is VERY SELFISH!

Hi everyone. First time dating a Sag man and he is so darn fun, intelligent, charming, witty and smart. Hi Gemini girl, I can’t say whether it will workout between u two but since I got a Gemini friend who I know luv meeting new people but at the same time criticizes, so may advice will be that both of u will have great time on adventures in group, but since Sagittarius dislike constrain of any sort even if u mean well, try your very best not to criticizes him in anyway or make him understand what u want from him or else one find day you will be left wondering what happen. On ya another important point, they do not face an argument like a man, and tend to keep quite as such u will be wondering are they committed to making the relationship work. To make it simple, they will only do something that they like and they will never be happy doing anything you like.

Interesting information! Thank you. My Father is a Sag and he is one of the nicest man you will ever meet. That being said, he doesn’t treat my mom very well at times and I hate that trait in him. Not that is strictly a Sag trait, but he can be very negative because he entrenches himself into World news etc. I am enjoying myself immensely with him. Yes indeed! I can’t get enough of my Sag man. He is fun, smart, outgoing, charismatic, freedom loving like me, business minded and oh so red hot indeed. My Sag and I had a wonderful so cherished evening last night. He loves when I pamper him and we love to cook together, make love, etc. He told me that he has never met such a giving person before and this is all new to him because I also love to please him in so many aspects. He is 13 years old than me but it feels like we are so close in age. We made the most intense love last night that was so truly amazing. It was so romantic as we were eating dinner because we looked into each other’s eyes and we said to each other “will you be mine”…and we both said yes.
