Naturally, I wanted to get to the bottom of the matter, haha! We exchanged phone numbers and hung out platonically for a while, but the more I saw of him, the more I thought he was outrageously cute and intriguing. Naturally, I never forgot what he had said that first evening. One night as we walked back from a drink in a bar we just stopped at the corner of the street and kissed – it happened very spontaneously. He then took me home and I let him in. We soon ended up in the bedroom and I found out that same night that he had been very self-deprecating about his allegedly not being very well endowed. There was nothing wrong with him in that department, haha! For a long time afterwards, remembering that unusual “chat up line” he’d used with me, we couldn’t stop laughing over how outrageous and silly he’d been. Anyone else ever met a guy who’s done something as equally ridiculous as this?!

I think the author of this piece is right in saying that Geminis are not smouldering vulcanoes of passion in the bedroom, but I did actually still feel pretty well matched sexually with Gemini boyfriend n. 2 (whom we shall call S.). As a lover he had a playful quality – he was self-deprecating and saw the humour in sex, too, yet enjoyed it and made me feel very desirable, all without being too smouldering or heavy or serious about it, ever. His seduction was sweet, playful and joyous. He was a good lover but did not make a point of it, though obviously he enjoyed my praise and feedback on that score! We would laugh a lot and I also like to bring some humour in the bedroom.

S. also had a thing for changing his appearance often, as if to play a different persona on a regular basis (in retrospect I realise this was probably very Gemini, but it was actually an aspect of him that I enjoyed). One day he’d be wearing vintage, “geek” horn-rimmed glasses with slicked back hair and a clean-shaven face, next he’d grow a grungie mop of tousled hair for a couple of months, only to shave it all off one day, then decide he would grow some new form of facial hair next… and the list of “disguises” goes on. He was also very much into collecting vinyls and vintage magazines, as well as enjoying frivolous popular culture and silly stuff for a so-called “post-modern”, “ironic” kick. He wasn’t ashamed of playing cheesy pop music as well as higher quality music (as it happens his musical knowledge was remarkable), not to mention the passion he had for vintage TV shows. He claimed he could find depth in shallowness and popular culture as well as in high culture and art. To be honest I was never bored with this guy. He wasn’t a superficial person, spoke three languages fluently and was well-read (though in a rather eclectic, inconsistent way). To be honest talking about S. now, I realise we had a lot of fun together, though eventually I just noticed my passion and sexual attraction for him simply waning. Our relationship just fizzled out…

S. could occasionally be a little frivolous in social situations, where he would basically seem like he was flirting with everyone in the room, women AND men. But it was just a playful manner he had – he was never actually unfaithful to me, it wasn’t his style at all. In retrospect I also know for a fact that he never lied to me, not on anything important anyway. As I said, the same thing could not be said of my first boyfriend, Gemini n. 1…

All geminians are not what is painted above. So don’t get your mind hanging about how you would treat one. You would just piss one like me off. Because, yes, we are lovely conversationalist but some stay in love and love only one partner.

Just as the prior Gems I’ve encountered (one male, one female) in relationships she enjoys submission. I personally think she finds it comforting because it’s a way to shut her brain off, focus on ONE THING…pleasing her partner. She then praised me for being so strong and bossy.
