okay. My bf and i performed a soul-binding ritual on the night before the full moon while Mercury was in retrograde. From the beginning of the relationship, we faced together some things which most couples don't experience until... The first year. THEN, this month, on the 27th, we celebrated our 3rd month. We are HORRIBLY close to one another, while ghosts of our past still haunt us. Back to the point: This month, our aniiversary fell while Venus was beginning her turn to retro, please know, in our soul-binding we invoked the love of our Goddess, Venus. I was told by my spiritual mothers, Venus is now testing us, to make sure we are committed to the very relationship she "signed" off on, cosmically of course. And since the retrograde began... ALL sorts of peculiar histories have begun to arise in each of our lives. I want to know, because I want to do it properly, how to get her attention to let her know... We LOVE her, thank her, and are committed to this soul ship. Does anyone have any advice? Please im or email Kingtoby2005@aim.com... thanks.

-toby

Venus-saturn square by sign here.

Oftentimes, it's very hard for me to figure out what the balance should be between how much of myself I should sacrifice for a relationship vs. how much I should expect back from a relationship/partner.

I end up giving waaaaay too much in the end, then feeling somewhat resentful about it and blame the other person for taking advantage when it's really my lack of setting boundaries that's the problem. Most people are going to take what you offer, especially if what you're offering is good stuff. ;) Instead of waiting for people to self-govern, I should draw boundary lines and refuse to deal with people who cross them.

Btw, this post just helped me realize why the post about Virgo woman and cheating Pisces boyfriend upsets me so. My Saturn is in Virgo and I really feel close to the situation of sacrificing so much (too much?) for a relationship. I just hate to see when others do the same thing I do.
One of Virgo's biggest lessons to learn is that love is not (always) about sacrifice! I wanna give her a big hug.

I think that was very eloquent and informational advice concerning venus saturn squares. My venus and saturn are squared and I am often posed with the problem of choosing instant gratification, negetivity and power struggles or self control, patience, understanding and committment. The second road is always the more dificult yet more rewarding. My partner is also 18 years my senior and in our relationship there have been many lessons around using better judgment and having a deeper and more respectful, yet more trusting sense of committment. These lessons have also really helped me to establish a track for my self that is more focused on the bigger picture and setting goals that are for the greater good of my personal and relationship future. Without this saturn venus square I might not be realizing the bad habits and tendancies I have towards negetivity and fear in love, with this aspect I am challenged too be an active catalyst for change in my own life.

First of all, I don't have my Saturn squaring my Venus, just so it's said. I do think it's an interesting question though; the compromise of obedience.

(I have a Moon-squaring-Venus aspect, but that's a whole different and irrelevant story.)

Second of all, I just HAVE to say that I find it hilarious how every new article is spawned from the comment section of its predecessor lately.
