Flame war in the comments

OK, maybe not a flame war — perhaps just some disagreement. Let’s just say there has been some open criticism in the comments section. We could call this a milestone in this blog’s development. Or a defining moment. Or a fly on the windshield.

Looking at the planets today, I see the Sun in Gemini in an exact (applying) opposition to Jupiter in Sagittarius, both of which are exactly square my Sun at 14 Pisces (it’s my blog, after all!). The nature of the conflict in the comments section is about listening (Gem), immaturity (Gem), information (Gem), opinions (Sag), authority as it pertains to knowledge (Sag). Jupiter can also have a judging quality.

I am not opposed to disagreement, I just hope that we all can do it with a tone of respect. The following is pure conjecture: I suspect that by favoring some comments, other participants may feel slighted. It is not my intention to do so. I am a subjective human being like everyone else — “subjectivity” a mutable characteristic of signs like Gemini, Sagittarius and Pisces — and some comments just speak to me. As many of my posts are the result of feeling inspired by the comments section, I feel justified in giving props when they are due.
