Is an Aquarius man / Capricorn woman match a no-go for longevity?

I am a Cap woman with Cancer moon. Cap mercury and Cap mars, Sag venus.

My love interest is an Aquarius man , Aquarius mercury and Aquarius mars, and Sag venus. The thing is he can either be an Aquarius or Pisces moon. Not sure if he’s an evening birth.

If not longevity, what can [one] expect from this coupling?

Capricorn and Aquarius do not good bedfellows make. You may be a woman, but you represent The Man: authority, restrictions, rules. For Aquarius, rules are made to be broken. Your love interest is a revolutionary, not a suit-and-tie.

If you’re of the Uranus-in-Libra generation (circa 1968-1975), the ruler of Aquarius may be squaring some or all of your Capricorn/Cancer planets. This aspect would give you an Uranian vibe to counteract your more conservative CapCance nature. You would have your own internal conflict between the need to be unconventional versus the need to strive towards material success. How else could one explain your attraction to the Water Bearer?

In general, any two consecutive signs in the zodiac are as different as can be. They share neither element nor quality. There is scant likelihood of compatibility unless there are other chart factors to account for the attraction. If you’re not Uranian, then your Aquarius must be Saturnian, familiar with the heaviness of your Sun sign.

The good news? Both of you are adventurous in love (with Venus in Sag), so ski trips and flights to Burma may keep the fire burning bright, as long as your dry disposition doesn’t extinguish the flame.

  1. My Capricorn mother and Aquarius father have been married for 52 years. I can’t say they’ve always had a good time though. :)

He does have a Capricorn ascendant and a Cancer Moon within 3 degrees opposition to her Sun, while her Leo Moon opposes his Sun and her Venus is in Aquarius within a few degrees of his Sun, so perhaps those things provide more common ground.

  2. Jeffrey Kishner says:

Two Sun-Moon oppositions more than make up for the Sun sign incompatibility. Sun-Moon is a traditional husband/wife aspect.

  3. How about a Capricorn chick with Venus in Sagittarius, Mars in Aries, and Pisces Ascendant, paired with an Aquarius guy with Aries Moon, Venus in Pisces, and Mars in Sagittarius?

  4. Cap Friend says:

Ok, how about a cap woman 1/6/63 and aquarius man- all I know is 1/26 and he is older than cap woman-

he was the initiator and when cap woman was responsive, he would never follow through-though he has a mutual friend tell cap woman he likes her-all of this happened more than once-and it has been going on for aover 5 months

    What Gives???????????

  5. Hi,

I am capricorn woman with Aries moon interested in Aquarius man with Sagittarius moon. Could it work?

  6. MrsLilypond says:

I think it depends…I’m an aquarius (with a leo moon and venus in aquarius) and married to a Capricorn man it’ll be 5 years, and we were together for 7 yrs before marriage.
However I think it’s because I’m more of a saturn aquarius and because of my hubby’s date/time of birth he is an capricorn/aquarian cusp.

  7. belle gitane says:

    hey guys!
i really like this guy im seeing but i’m kind of discouraged with this whole talk of “caps not being compatible”. What do you think about our planets?
I’m the cap by the way even though I am more of a cap/aquarius myself : )
we both have leo moons, our venus is in each others signs, we both have scorpio mars, mars pluto conjunction, also his venus is cap and so is my neptune which i read is suppose to be good? there are other positive aspects but i didn’t want to bore everyone so i just listed the ones that stand out to me
I’m just kind of confused cause he acts like he likes me too and he initiated the relationship, but then 2 weeks will go by and he wont phone or anything so im starting to wonder how interested he really is. He told me he was shy, but come on he already knows i like him, just call me ; )

Oh ya and he has the same birthday as my dad and my dad and i have always had an amazing relationship. I think that might be why I feel very aquarius like. My dad and i relate perfectly to each other while my mom is a taurus and she would just get confused/annoyed when relating to my dad when i would understand my dad perfectly and not so much my mom’s point of view.
Sorry ok random post but any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated.

  8. My father is A CAP and my mother is a Aqua. and they dont see Eye to eye
His doesnt like her spontaneous actions or suggestions and she doesnt like his moaning and long planning
they are complelty miss matched as a couple and argue a hell of a lot
They get on each other nerves and are “fighting for the throne” to put it that way.

Joke is they have been together 11 years (2 serious break up beetween those years) So i guess they have this funny kind of love between them.
I guess they keep each other on thier toes and i think they get a kick out off ruffling each others feathers!!

So hey Aqau and Cap could work, I wouldnt suggest it unless you REALLLLYYY think its worth it, Woah too much effort in my books.!!!!

  9. I’m a cap woman who recently met an aquarian man, at first we seemingly had a wonderful connection. He would call and confide me about personal issues, etc. However i mentioned my ex the other day and now my aqua man has become completely withdrawn and distant. I’m so confused!

  10. I know this aqua guy, he is a bit of a womaniser, though when it comes to dating… he wants the perfect one on earth… i think they want to feel that they have the best…

  11. My bf is Aqua with Aqua moon. ( he DOB is 01/21/1977) and I am Cap with libra moon. Is it going to work?

  12. Hi
Why are you saying that Capricorn/Aquarius combination doesn’t work? I’m a Cap and my g/f is Aqua and we’ve been together for 14 years! We still smile at each other every morning, are both outgoing and have our own friends. We text each other and tell each other how our day has been when we get home from work. Sex is and always has been fun because we BOTH look for new ways to keep it fresh and fun, we LOVE life both as individuals and as a couple. A good chat on our own with no distractions is good too. I think the key here is not necessarily signs – the key to any successful relationship is COMMUNICATION. Keep talking people, you can find magic with anyone!

  13. Thank you Mikey for putting that in here! Zodiac.com says the pair is a 9/10. I definitely agree with you on the communication part. More than you know. I bet you don’t have a libra moon, huh? lol (sorry, personal story). I’m not with a capricorn man, but man… the mental and spiritual and all around attraction was there. It was bad timing.

  14. Hi “no-perspiration”. This is a strange one. I have a friend who is heavily into all this stuff and showed me a few of these sites and I don’t quite understand them. Do people REALLY consult the stars to tell them whether they should like someone or not? Either you like a person or you don’t. It doesn’t make any sense to me to meet someone, find out when they were born and then read up on what some ‘expert’ thinks they are SUPPOSED to be like before deciding whether you should like them or not. To me it just seems to restrict people’s options and no ‘expert’ has the right to do that. People should just be themselves and not dance to the tune of someone who wants to sell their book! It just plays on peoples fears, their insecurities. There are over six billion people on this planet, how can they simply be placed into 12 catagories? Someone, somewhere is making a lot of money out of telling people who they are and how they should behave. That’s almost mind control!!

  15. Mikey,
it’s not mind control. If it was mind control, you’d see Astrology ads popping up everywhere. People come to sites like this looking to make sense of a situation. And no, there aren’t 12 or 13 categories lol! The categories are endless! There’s something called a birthchart, which includes not only a person’s sun sign, but their moon, venus, mars, and all the other planets. Each planet, depending on the time and location the person was born in comparison to the earth’s rotation, tilt, and the planet’s positions in the solar system at that time are used. There is also 12 houses. Each representing something different. Not everyone has a planet in every house, and some have like 4 planets in one house, so therefor – no one is the same. I don’t know if you already knew this, but yeah. Now, astrology only can account for 75% of one’s attitude and ways of thinking. Everything else is what cannot be controlled i.e. family environment, experiences, natural disasters, etc. But no one is necessarily like they are as their birthchart says they are BECAUSE of free will and BECAUSE people change things about themselves all the time. How can it be mind control if there is free will to read into it or not? Now, when meeting someone – yes, you don’t need to look at their sun sign to determine if you’re going to be a good fit. You can take the relationship as it comes, but I’ll tell you this. I wasn’t into astrology until I dated a Pisces sun man. I’m Aquarius. Our relationship was soooooooo confusing and messed up, to me. I never could really figure him out…. not until I did his birthchart. Then, everything made sense. I’ve done birthcharts on others WITHOUT looking into it. By that I mean it would say the compatibility would be low, but I’d go for it anyway. More than once astrology or our compatibility birthcharts had proved true, but I will say that, I think, birthcharts don’t necessarily matter if the two individuals are secure with themselves, mature in life, and respectful of others. But, you know how many people walk around with insecurities that only certain people in their life get to see? Sometimes the insecurity is so big that you just don’t know if you should stay and work on it, relentlessly, or move on. Astrology is not THE deciding factor, but when you really get to know a person (and THEN you look at their birthchart) a lot of stuff starts clicking. So, for shits and giggles, why don’t you just see what your birthchart says. You can get a free one off Sasstrology. Astrology is a science in itself. You don’t have to believe in it, but at least you should respect it. You can’t disrespect something until you’ve gone through it, ya know? Try it out.

  16. Hi again “no-perspiration” and Happy New Year! I will have a look at all this as you suggested, then let you know what I think :)

  17. ILoveBeingAnAquaGirl says:

I’m an Aquarius trying to get redeem myself from a fall out with a Capricorn ex boyfriend. I believe that there is great potential there but for some reason we keep misunderstanding each other :(

  18. I’ve known lots of Cap-Aq couples, and most of them have lasted and lasted, while other, more “compatible” couples fell apart, long ago. In fact, only last month, I went to the 40th anniversary of one of these couples. They’re still totally into each other, just like they were in high school (or so I hear, since I didn’t know them then).

However, most of the successful Cap-Aq couples I know hooked up when at least one of them was in his 30s or older. That Saturn return seems to get Cap to lighten up some and Aq to settle down some, which makes them a lot more alike than when they were younger, without being too much alike. IOW, they’re enough alike to be compatible, but different enough to keep things interesting.

That’s not a bad thing, at all.
